Description
The first time I happened upon Garapata Beach in Big Sur I was filled with an ecstatic view....it changed my life! I call it the River of Lilies where you'll find thousands of Calla Lillies in a babbling brook that feeds into the ocean. Since that day I've loved Calla Lillies and find layers of symbolic meaning from them. They often enter my paintings in one form or another. This was the first painting inspired by this magical place on earth.
